Crossroads to Love
The book "Crossroads to Love" written by Paul Davenport is a nice book for Teens. I think so because nearly every Teen has a problem like Maria, Kelley and Tim. We all know situations in which a girl loves a boy and want her best friend to get to know him better. And at the end the girl looses her best friend and the boy she loves. So it´s a good book for us because the most of us knows how Kelley, Maria or Tim feels.

Crossroads to Love
At the moment a lot of English-books for individual reading are getting published for the use of 4th-7th class. "Crossroad to Love” is one example in the series “Teen Readers” which as the name indicates, are meant to appeal to teenagers. “Crossroads to Love”, that can be read by 6th and 7th class is about to girl friends who are in love in the same young man. They are very close in the beginning, but when he prefers one of the girls instead of the other, knifes are getting sharpened, and the two girls come to blows. The rejected girl is using all sorts of tricks, among other emotional blackmailing to get the girl who is in love, away from the desirable young man. This does not succeed as the other girl knows that she must break up with her friend. The book which is nicely glossed touch upon subjects, which are relevant for above mentioned class steps. If you think the pupils have to go deeper into the text you can use the work tasks in the back of the book or you can use the Easy Readers homepage where you can find supplementing material.
